Biography
Yvette Gentry, M.D. is board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology practicing at East Bay Women’s Health in Oakland and Alameda, California. Her interest lies in alternatives to hysterectomies, laparoscopic surgeries, and fibroid management while continuing to provide comprehensive prenatal care and supporting patients’ desires to have a minimal intervention natural birth experience. Her extensive experience with the da Vinci Robotic Surgical System allows her to perform less invasive surgeries leading to a quicker recovery. She also performs aesthetic services including BOTOX/Juvederm, laser hair removal for all skin types, and laser treatment of superficial veins, as well as cosmetic gynecological surgical procedures.
Dr. Gentry received her M.D. from the University of Washington in Seattle, is board certified and is an Assistant Clinical Professor at UCSF. She is one of only two doctors in California to be selected as one of “America’s Favorite OB/Gyns” in Essence Magazine. She was selected a “Top Doctor” in Oakland Magazine. Dr. Gentry is a clinical investigator for NIH research trials conducted by the California Family Health Council, which focuses on new and innovative forms of contraception with the hopes of providing women all over the world with affordable and reliable options.
